In the framework of the preparation of the joint urgent opinion on the revised amendments to the Election Code of Georgia, the Venice Commission’s rapporteurs and OSCE/ODIHR expert held online meetings with representatives of the following authorities and other interlocutors: • the Central Election Commission, • the political parties which signed the 19 April 2021 agreement and several parties who did not, • civil society and diplomatic community present in Georgia. This urgent opinion is prepared under the Quick response Mechanism in the framework of the EU/CoE joint programme Partnership for Good Governance, co-funded by the Council of Europe and the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe. The urgent opinion will be issued in due course.
