Scheveningen - The Venice Commission is saddened by the death of its former Dutch Substitute Member Mr Erik Lukács passed away on 8 August 2018 at the age of 83 years. Mr. Lukács was Substitute member in respect of the Netherlands from 1999 until 2007. He was a recognised legal expert and a valuable member of the Venice Commission. At its next plenary session, the Venice Commission held a minute of silence in his memory.
