Tunis – The Venice Commission co-organised and contributed to the first joint Conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie and the Association of Ombudsmen and Mediators of the Francophonie, on the subject : “Parliamentarians and Mediators, actors of good governance“. More than fifty participants exchanged their views on the relationship between Parliaments and Ombudsmen and the reinforcement of their co-operation. This activity is financed by the Programme Towards Strengthened Democratic Governance in the Southern Mediterranean funded by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe.
