On 24 and 25 February 2025, a delegation of the Venice Commission held a series of online meetings in preparation for the Opinion on the draft amendments and supplements to the Legislation of the Republic of Armenia on Expropriation of Property for Overriding Public Interests. This opinion was requested by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

The delegation engaged in discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Justice; the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; the Yerevan Mayor’s Office; the Urban Development Committee; the Cadastre Committee; the Parliament, as well as with the international partners and civil society organisations.
