Santiago de Compostela Convention

 10th anniversary

Trafficking in human organs is a serious global problem that threatens health, human rights, and human dignity. The Council of Europe’s Convention against Trafficking in Human Organ, also known as the Santiago de Compostela Convention, was opened for signature in 2015 and entered into force in 2018 to prevent this crime, protect victims, and promote cooperation between countries.
