The Venice Commission has published this week, inter alia, opinions on amendments to the Judicial Code of Armenia, on draft amendments to the Election Code and the Law on Political Associations of Citizens in Georgia (jointly with OSCE/ODIHR), on draft amendments to the Law on the Judicial Council and Judges of Montenegro, on the draft law of Kosovo* on the State Bureau for verification and compensation of unjustified assets, on the draft Law on the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, on Serbian draft legislation related to the constitutional amendments on the judiciary and on the prosecution service, as well as on the functioning of democratic institutions (joint with OSCE/ODIHR).
The Venice Commission also has published amicus curiae briefs for Armenia and for the Republic of Moldova and endorsed over its plenary session (16-17 December) its urgent opinions on the amendments to the Law on the President of Montenegro and on the selection of candidates for the Constitutional Court judge position in Ukraine.
