The Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) will hold its Autumn session, marking the CINGO’s 50th anniversary.
Among the highlights of the agenda are a thematic discussion open to member States and Council of Europe staff on “Migration Through Human Stories”, with the protagonists and director of the film Along the Way, as well as the screening of the documentary White Right: Meeting the Enemy, on the rise of the new far-right movement in the United States, followed by a debate with its director, Deeyah Khan.
The sessions open to member States will also include the presentation and endorsement of reports following CINGO’s fact-finding visits to Denmark and Montenegro.
The programme will also include a strategy session on climate risk in Europe in view of COP31, as well as discussions on CINGO’s future priorities and the preparation of the April 2027 elections of CINGO’s governing bodies.
On 2 October, a hybrid training session on participation in the implementation of the European Social Charter will be organised with the European Committee of Social Rights.
