Three handbooks on “The Right to Liberty and Security”, “Freedom of Expression” and “Freedom of Assembly and Association” were published under the Joint Project of the European Union and the Council of Europe on “Supporting the Individual Application to the Constitutional Court in Turkey”.

The books, written by academics who also prepared the training modules on “fundamental rights and freedoms” and “the individual application procedures and admissibility criteria” used in the training sessions of the project, aim to raise awareness and knowledge of legal professionals on the major decisions and principles of the Turkish Constitutional Court (TCC) and the European Court of Human Rights (the Court) related to fundamental rights and freedoms.

The books, analysing the case laws of the TCC and the Court on the basis of specific rights and freedoms, were published in 6000 copies each and will be distributed to the stakeholders of the project, legal professionals in training sessions and all law faculties in Turkey.
