On 6 March, the Division on Migration and Refugees (DMR) participated in the 2nd Biannual Exchange of Friends of the Child Rights Pledge: From Commitments to Action on Child Rights, organised by the United Nations Initiative for Child Rights in the Global Compacts. The meeting provided a platform for international organisations, UN member states, and civil society actors to share best practices in protecting children under their respective pledges made during the Global Refugee Forum 2023.

As part of its ongoing efforts to protect the rights of refugee children, the Council of Europe pledged to address the statelessness of children and improve their access to nationality.
