On 31 Janjuary, the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations of the Council of Europe (CINGO) announced that a delegation from its Committee on Migration Issues will visit Poland from 10 to 14 February as part of its study on the accommodation of refugees and migrants. More broadly, effective access to human rights and related services would also be a concern of the delegation. To this end, contacts will be made with civil society and other relevant local actors, including through field visits to the border areas with Belarus and Ukraine.
The aim of this mission is to assess the reception and housing conditions of displaced persons, and to understand the obstacles encountered both by the people affected and by NGOs in the field. This analysis will feed into the Committee's work and contribute to a broader reflection on migration policies in Europe.
