Strengthening the social dimension in Ukraine
About the project
The Council of Europe Project "Strengthening the social dimension in Ukraine" is implemented by the Council of Europe within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” for 2023-2026. The Project aims to ensure that general public and people from vulnerable groups, including war-affected population in Ukraine, benefit from targeted social protection and support.
Duration of the project: 21 months (1 April 2025 - 31 December 2026)
Total budget of the project: 865 000 EUR
Expected results of the project
To achieve the main goal of the project, a combination of targeted actions is envisaged, with the following expected results:
1) National authorities change their policy and legislative framework regarding social, labour rights, and social dialogue in Ukraine in line with European standards, including European Social Charter and case-law of the European Committee of Social Rights;
2) National and local authorities effectively implement the social and labour policies and efficiently operate in times of war and post-war context, as well as legal professionals, social partners and civil society activists effectively apply the European Social Charter standards in their activity.
