The Council of Europe project “Promoting civil participation in democratic decision-making in Ukraine” is presenting its second edition of the UCHANGE Project Journal: Stories that change Ukraine.

In this edition you will get acquainted with 6 success stories of innovators, civil society leaders, authors of successful projects and ideas which they were able to implement due to their non-complacency, active citizenship, consciousness, knowledge and practical skills, by applying best Council of Europe standards and Ukrainian methodologies, civil participation instruments and the opportunities provided by the Council of Europe project. In particular, you will read about the process of implementing such an innovative civil participation instrument as School participatory budgeting, unique CivicLab methodology created by the project, importance of the Statute for the community, civic engagement in public spaces’ development, Academy of civil participation that can be tailored for different cities of Ukraine.

Get inspired by the people who change Ukraine for the better every day and see the real outputs of the Council of Europe project activities. The CoE project “Promoting civil participation in democratic decision-making in Ukraine” will be further supporting local authorities in ensuring the sustainable and representative involvement of citizens in decision-making, inter alia, under quarantine constraints, and is already preparing the third edition of the UCHANGE Journal.
