As the implementation of the second phase of the project ends, the Council of Europe Project “Human Rights Compliant Criminal Justice System in Ukraine” summarised its achievements of 2021-2022 with its key beneficiaries during the final meeting of the Project’s Steering Committee (the SC) held on 13 December 2022.
The meeting was attended by the members of the SC – Project’s main beneficiaries, namely the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Law Enforcement Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Supreme Court, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Council of Prosecutors, the Body in Charge of Disciplinary Proceedings of the public prosecution service, the Prosecutors’ Training Centre of Ukraine, and the National School of Judges of Ukraine, as well as a representative of civil society organisation with observer status.
As the Project ends on 31 December 2022, the SC members positively assessed the results achieved in 2021-2022 and expressed hope for further cooperation within the framework of the next Project.
The Council of Europe Project “Human Rights Compliant Criminal Justice System in Ukraine”- Phase II is implemented within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2022.
