Council of Europe strengthens the capacities of the National Mediation and Conciliation Service through provision of office equipment

The institutional capacities of the National Mediation and Conciliation Service were strengthened through the provision of office equipment, handed over by Mr Maciej Janczak, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, to Mr Dmytro Kukhniuk, Head of the National Mediation and Conciliation Service on 17 June 2026.

The all-in-one PCs, power stations, and a multifunctional device will ensure the effective operation of the Service in the context of the Russia’s war against Ukraine and in the post-war period. Reliable technical solutions are critical for the uninterrupted performance of the Service’s functions, in particular the prevention, monitoring, and resolution of collective labour disputes, as well as the support of social dialogue. Modern equipment enables stable real-time communication with social partners, timely data processing, and effective coordination of mediation processes. Maintaining the uninterrupted operation of the institution is especially critical in light of the damage to energy infrastructure.

The equipment was provided within the framework of the Council of Europe project  “Strengthening the social dimension in Ukraine” implemented within the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine "Resilience, Recovery, Reconstruction" for 2023-2026. The Project aims to ensure that general public and people from vulnerable groups, including war-affected population in Ukraine, benefit from targeted social protection and support.
