The HELP project was presented at the international scientific and practical conference

On 23 February, Olga Kostenko, International Manager of the Council of Europe Project "HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) for Ukraine, including during wartime" spoke at the XIV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Legal Paradigm of Ukraine's Recovery: Problems and Prospects".

The conference was organized by the Faculty of Law of the National Aviation University. The participants included the scientists, representatives of authorities and civil society, judges and practicing lawyers from 15 countries, 19 regions of Ukraine, 20 institutions and organizations, 62 higher education institutions and research institutions. The participants discussed important issues related to current trends and challenges in the development of criminal law science and law enforcement, challenges in the field of public and private law during the war and in the post-war period.

Olga Kostenko informed the participants about the creation of new important HELP courses for Ukraine on international humanitarian law and human rights, the implementation of the EU Directive on temporary protection and deportation of children during armed conflict. These courses are specifically designed to assist lawyers in their work during the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The National Aviation University plans to implement the proposals and recommendations made by the conference participants in the educational process and use them for further scientific research.
