The Government of France has made a voluntary contribution of €835 920.53 towards several Council of Europe Action Plans and projects.

This contribution will support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026, the abolition of the death penalty in Europe and beyond, the relations and cooperation between the Ukrainian Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the World Forum for Democracy, the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe, as well as help reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases. 

Ambassador Pap Ndiaye, Permanent Representative of France to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.
