On 9 May 2026, the All-Ukrainian Festival "SVOЇ", dedicated to Europe Day, took place in Kyiv. The event brought together active young people from different regions around common values — Ukrainian identity, culture, language and a sense of belonging to the European community.
The event was opened by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvii Bidnyi with an opening speech: "Youth policy today is focused on ensuring that young people have tools for action. Our priority is access to opportunities, resources and support that allow us to launch our own initiatives. Investment in young people is directly related to the resilience and recovery of the country. That is why we work systematically and together with partners”.
At the invitation of the All-Ukrainian Youth Centre, the Council of Europe project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV" presented opportunities and resources for training young people and those who work with them, in particular:
- Open call for the training seminar "Building Resilience in Young People", which will take place on 9-11 June 2026 at the European Youth Centre;
- Grant opportunities for youth CSOs from the European Youth Foundation;
- Manuals, educational games, study visits to youth centres with the Quality Label of the Council of Europe.
The Council of Europe project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV" is being implemented within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine "Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction" for 2023-2026. The festival was organised by the All-Ukrainian Youth Centre in co-operation with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Youth Foundation, the Youth Affairs Council under the President of Ukraine, the National Youth Council of Ukraine, SALTO-YOUTH, the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Info Centre, Europass in Ukraine, Euroguidance in Ukraine, Erasmus Student Network Ukraine, Young European Ambassadors, Erasmus Mundus Alumni and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
