On July 19-20, 2018, in Odessa, the Council of Europe's Office in Ukraine (Venice Commission), together with the National School of Judges of Ukraine, tested the training course "Election Dispute Resolution".

The judges of administrative courts of Ukraine took part in approbation of the course.

Opening the training, Deputy Director of the Testing Center of the National School of Judges of Ukraine Mikhail Tsurkan (Course Director, Team Leader) noted that the course developed is extremely important and relevant.

Oleg Glukhanchuk, the head of the Odessa Regional Administrative Court, and Sergey Tkachenko, Head of the project Council of Europe Office in Ukraine (Venice Commission), also spoke with greetings to the participants.

The course deals with topics such as "International Standards and Principles of Democratic Elections", "Overview of National Election Law. Classification of Electoral Disputes During the Election Process "," Peculiarities of Conduct on Election Rights and Referendum under the Rules of the CAJU "and" ECHR Practice in Electoral Disputes ".

During the testing of the training course interactive forms of training were used.

Over the course development worked a team of experienced judges who for a long time were teachers of the National School of Judges of Ukraine and its regional departments: the judge of the Donetsk Regional Administrative Court Oleksandr Zinchenko, the judge of the Cherkasy District Administrative Court, the candidate of jurisprudence Larisa Trofimova, Judge of the Kyiv Appeal Administrative Court Olena Gubska, Judge of the Odessa Regional Administrative Court Anna Samoiluk.

It is planned that, after approbation and approval, the course "Election Dispute Resolution" will be actively used by the regional centers of the National School of Judges in the training of judges on the eve of future presidential and parliamentary elections.

The training course was developed by the National School of Judges of Ukraine in co-operation with the Council of Europe Projects "Supporting constitutional and legal reforms, constitutional justice and assisting the Verkhovna Rada in conducting reforms aimed at enhancing its efficiency" and " Supporting the transparency, inclusiveness and integrity of electoral practice in Ukraine" within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2021.
