Staff of the Office of the Attorney General trained on the new Code of Ethics
Administrative staff and lawyers of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) participated in a two-day training dedicated to the newly adopted Code of Ethics of the office.
The training which took place on 23-24 September combined interactive discussions and group exercises to help participants familiarise themselves with the updated ethical framework and to strengthen their ability to address ethical dilemmas in their daily work. Special emphasis was placed on how the Code safeguards integrity, impartiality and accountability, ensuring that the OAG’s services are delivered to the highest professional standards.
By supporting staff in applying the principles of the new Code of Ethics, the activity contributes to reinforcing the rule of law and strengthening public trust in justice in Malta.
The activity was organised within the framework of the EU-CoE Joint Project “Attorney General and State Advocate in Malta – Implementation of action plan of offices re-organisation”, co-funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument and implemented by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the European Commission.
