A joint session of the civil departments and the labour dispute departments of all appellate courts, the Commercial Appellate Court and the Supreme Court was held on 28 November 2025 in Novi Sad, with the support of the joint EU/CoE project “Support for the Implementation of Judicial Reform in Serbia”. This meeting represents a continuation of ongoing efforts to improve the consistency of judicial practice and strengthen legal certainty.

Participants thoroughly analysed several legal issues in the fields of civil and labour law and, through discussion, presented their interpretations of specific legal dilemmas with the aim of reaching unified positions and ensuring more consistent application of the law. The conclusions adopted will be forwarded to the courts to support more harmonised proceedings and decisions in these areas. During the meeting, participants emphasised the importance of the agreement between the Supreme Court and the appellate courts on the harmonisation of judicial practice, and expressed hope that this initiative will continue.
