Drafting Process

The Ukrainian Ministry of Justice announced it was beginning a process to develop a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights in January 2019.

The Ministry of Justice subsequently tasked the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University with developing a National Baseline Assessment (NBA), which was published in July 2019 (Executive summary in English).

The NBA assesses current status of implementation of the UNGPs in Ukraine, and utilises the methodology developed by the Danish Institute for Human Rights and the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable.
