2012 - Corciano

The Corciano townCorciano is a medieval town in the province of Perugia, which is a past winner of "the most beautiful small towns in Italy" award. With a whole succession of alleys, stairs, palaces, towers, gardens and churches inside a well preserved encircling wall and amid intact medieval architecture, the town inspires a unique kind of spirituality.

Corciano has developed three successful twinnings with Civrieux d’Azergues (France), Libiaz (Poland) and Pentling (Germany). Through numerous joint projects (development of rural tourism, school exchanges, solidarity work in developing countries), Corciano enables people from all levels of society to meet and experience European understanding.
