Practical guide

Objective: A guide, published for hate crime victims, that includes the existing legal framework on the rights of victims of racist crimes, instructions on the necessary steps to be taken by those affected by racist crimes, as well as a list of services that can assist the victims. It was printed in 2,000 copies, in ten languages (Greek, English, French, Farsi, Urdu, Arabic, Pashto, Albanian, Russian and Georgian). It was distributed to the police and prosecution services, civil society organisations, public hospitals and reception centres for migrants.

The database on tools for preventing and combating hate crime aims to map available resources for the implementation of Recommendation CM/Rec(2024)4 on Combating Hate Crime, which are publicly available, recent, proven in practice and may support other member States in their work.

These tools were collected through member states submissions and desk study of resources published on websites. This mapping is not exhaustive nor reflects the wide variety of resources developed.
