Επιστροφή International Training Centre expands training, research and institutional cooperation on journalists’ safety

The International Training Centre for the Safety of Journalists and Media Professionals (ICSJ) continued expanding its activities in 2025 through training, research and institutional cooperation initiatives. The Centre organised the second International Conference on the Safety of Journalists, continued preparations for the third annual Safety for Journalists Training School and contributed to strengthening journalists’ preparedness for reporting in conflict zones and hazardous environments.

A significant development was the introduction of a new module on freedom of expression, press freedom and journalists’ safety into the curriculum of the Hellenic Police Academy. Developed in cooperation with UNESCO and the ICSJ, the initiative aims to strengthen dialogue and mutual understanding between journalists and law-enforcement authorities and represents a concrete outcome of the work carried out within the Task Force.
