Thorbjørn Jagland is the 13th Secretary General of the Council of Europe. Mr. Jagland was elected in September 2009.  In June 2014, he was re-elected, and his second term in office commenced on October 1, 2014. The former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Norway, Thorbjørn Jagland, was also the President of the Storting (Norwegian Parliament) and the leader of the Norwegian Labour Party. He is a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Erna Solberg is a Norwegian politician who has been Prime Minister of Norway since October 2013 and Leader of the Conservative Party since May 2004. Solberg has served as a member of the Storting since 1989 and was Minister of Local Government and Regional Development from 2001 to 2005. After the 2005 election, she chaired the Conservative Party parliamentary group until 2013.

Najat Vallaud-Belkacem was the first French woman to be appointed Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Research. Previously she was Minister of Women's Affairs, Minister of City Affairs, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, and Government spokesperson.
