News from the Lisbon Convention Committee

The Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee, which oversees the Council of Europe/UNESCO Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region
invited New Zealand to accede to the Convention and modified two important subsidiary text under the Convention: the Explanatory Notes to the Diploma Supplement and the Code of Good Practice in the Provision of Transnational Education

Ratification des Pays-Bas de la convention de reconaissance Conseil de l’Europe/UNESCO

Le 19 mars, les Pays-Bas ont déposté leur instrument d’acceptation de la Convention Conseil de l’Europe/UNESCO sur la reconnaissance des qualifications relatives à l'enseignement supérieur dans la région européenne (C0nvnetion de reconnaissance de Lisbonne). La Convention entrera en vigueur à l'égard des Pays-Bas le 1^er mai 2008. 47 pays ont ratifié cette convention, tandis que 4 autres l’ont signé et ont entamé la procédure de ratification.
