An invitational Global Forum, organized by the Council of Europe and the US Steering Committee of the International Consortium for Higher Education, Civic Responsibility and Democracy will address the issue of converging competences for diversity and sustainable democracy and the role of higher education in developing these competences. The conference will be hosted at the Council of Europe on October 2-3, 2008.
