In the framework of the Bologna Process, the Council of Europe will organise a seminar on Quality Assurance in Higher Education in cooperation with the Albanian Ministry of Education and Science and the Albanian Accreditation agency in Tirana, Albania on 7-8 December 2006.

This Seminar is organised within the context of the reform of the Albanian higher education law and the Draft Master Plan setting out the Government proposals for strategic policies to this end. Among the major issues are be the “Development of effective internal quality assurance systems in Albanian higher education institutions” and “Quality assurance in higher education from the student perspective”. The seminar would aim at Ministry officials as well as representatives of Albanian higher education institutions, quality assurance agencies and student representatives. Three experts from the European University Association (EUA), the National Unions of Students in Europe (ESIB) and the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) will participate as speakers in the Seminar.
