The keyword of the Pestalozzi workshop was sharing, sharing experiences, example of good practice or bad practice, form of children’ participation, types of organisation, projects students were involved in,
reforms of curricula, productive learning, anti- bullying programs. During the debates, a very creative and co-operative atmosphere developed that favoured the acquisition of innovative ideas on appropriate techniques to activate and develop child participation.

The European Wergeland Centre and the Pestalozzi Programme of the Council of Europe cooperate in the development and testing of
pedagogical resources for education for democracy.
On January 26-27, a special interest group of the Pestalozzi Network of Trainers met for the 2nd time to develop learning resources related to recognition of
learning in the context of education for democracy.

Since 2007 the Pestalozzi Programme has included training for the responsible and critical use of the media environment in its programme.
More Training workshop devoted to "Passing on the remembrance of the Holocaust and prevention of crimes against humanity"
The project Remembrance of the Holocaust organises a training workshop devoted to "Passing on the remembrance of the Holocaust and prevention of crimes against humanity". It will be held at the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris, from April
23 to 27 2012. The training will cover issues related to the history and passing on the remembrance of the Holocaust. The applications have to be sent before 15 March 2012.
