CONTEXT Through the five phases of a module series the participating teacher trainers and education professionals are trained to become multipliers for Council of Europe standards and principles in the respective field. They begin to share a common understanding of the content as well as of the approach to training, the methodology and teacher competences development. Those who are committed to stay involved with the Council of Europe are invited to be part of the Pestalozzi network of trainers and to contribute in different ways to the activities of the Pestalozzi programme as well as to other projects in the field of education. _________________________________________________ LATEST NEWS 13/04/11 School-based teacher training in Kosovo More than 300 teachers from Kosovo* will receive basic training on how to teach for intercultural understanding, based on a four stage model of competence development in teacher education: developing sensitivity and awareness in concepts and principles of intercultural understanding, developing knowledge and understanding, developing individual practice and developing societal practice.
