The trainer training complements the activities of the Education Directorate in particular with regard to the ongoing project “The image of the other in history teaching”, the results of the project “Multiperspectivity in teaching and learning history” and the recommendation on history teaching in twenty-first century Europe (Rec (2001) 15).
It focusses on the use of a multiperspectivity approach in history teaching for the development of competences and attitudes that support diverse democratic societies
The five phases of the module series were coordinated by a team of facilitators led by Danielle Leclerq, Belgium. The coordination of the methodological approach is carried out by Pascale Mompoint-Gaillard in close collaboration with the Secretariat.
The training resources developed by the network of trainers for history education are currently being edited and will be available online in the near future.
