CONTEXT The PESTALOZZI Programme already addressed, in previous training sessions, the issue of heterogeneity in the classroom. The current European seminar will deal more particularly with the issue of the integration of pupils with specific educational needs in the general curriculum, seeking for the development of a school management model which considers this integration as a key factor for social cohesion. The training session is intended for school heads in secondary education (pupils aged 10-15 years) and will focus on Council of Europe’s work results and recommendations, in particular the Recommendation on the Action Plan to promote the rights and full participation of people with disabilities in society: improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in Europe 2006-2015. Participants will share their experience and work together for the drawing-up of guidelines and the process of implementing a new school management model.
