Finland ratifies the Lanzarote Convention

Strasbourg, 09.06.2011 – Finland today ratified the Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (“Lanzarote Convention”, CETS 201) bringing the number of contracting parties to 13. Finnish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mrs Irma Ertman had the pleasure of signing the Convention, marking her special attachment as former Thematic Co-ordinator on children to the Council of Europe’s work for protecting children’s rights.
