Secretary General participates in "Science for Peace" event in Milan
"The European model of tolerance, respect and plurality must be solidified", said Thorbjørn Jagland, addressing the prestigious audience of "Science for Peace" initiative at the University "Luigi Bocconi", on Saturday, 17th November.
The Secretary General delivered a speech in the framework of "Peaceful co-existence in Diversity and Freedom" session, together with Emma Bonino, vice President of the Italian Senate and member of the Council of Europe Group of Eminent Persons (hyperlink). Emma Bonino is one of co-authors of the report "Living Together: Combining diversity and freedom in 21st-century Europe" (hyperlink), commissioned by Secretary General Jagland in 2011.
