Secretary General Jagland has met President Aníbal Cavaco Silva and Foreign Minister Rui Machete during a two-day visit to Portugal. Mr Jagland also met members of the Portuguese delegation of the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly. The main topics of discussion included European neighbourhood policy, the crisis in Ukraine and the work of the Council of Europe’s North-South Centre based in Lisbon.
