The Committee of Ministers today holds a thematic debate on “The role and functioning of NGOs in the Council of Europe”. The debate will be webcast live from 15:30 approximately.

Participants in the debate will include the Permanent Representatives of the 47 member countries and the following participants:

- Mr Jean-Marie Heydt, President of the Conference of INGOs;
- Ms Annelise Oeschger, Chair of the Human Rights Committee (Conference of INGOs);
- Mr Jeroen Klok, Special Assistant to the Chief of the Americas, Europe and Central Asia Branch at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
