The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Municipal Economy of Ukraine announced the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” in 2015 for local governments of all levels.
The contest is aimed at identifying, celebrating and disseminating best practices of socio-economic territories’ development implemented in 2013-2015.
This year the Contest themes are:
- Inter-municipal co-operation: practical results and benefits.
- Energy saving and energy efficiency.
- Promoting economic activity, job creation.
The Contest is organised in co-operation with the Council of Europe.
Applications should be submitted by 30 September at the e-mail address [email protected].

In 2012-2013 the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” was organised in Ukraine by the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform of the Council of Europe in the framework of the Programme “Strengthening institutional capacity of local authorities in Ukraine”. Starting from 2014 the Contest is organised by the MinRegion of Ukraine.
