Reminding you that the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Municipal Economy of Ukraine announced the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” in 2016 for local governments of all levels.

This year the Contest is organised in partnership with the Council of Europe “Decentralisation and territorial consolidation in Ukraine”. It is aimed at identifying, celebrating and disseminating best practices of socio-economic territories’ development implemented in 2014-2016.

This year the Contest themes are:

1. Promoting economic activity, job creation.
2. Amalgamation of territorial communities.
3. Centres of administrative services provision.

The deadline for application is 30 September 2016.

In 2012-2013 the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” was organised in Ukraine by the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform of the Council of Europe in the framework of the Programme “Strengthening institutional capacity of local authorities in Ukraine”. Starting from 2014 the Contest is organised by the MinRegion of Ukraine.
