The Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and the EU’s Committee of the Regions organised a conference in Brussels on 28 February on the role of local and regional authorities in preventing corruption and promoting good governance.

The conference looked at some of the challenges involved in implementing anti-corruption strategies at the local and regional level. It also highlighted of good practice from across Europe and encouraged cooperation between different bodies involved.
