Council of Europe addresses digital challenges in Southeastern Europe at SEEDIG 2024

Council of Europe is actively shaping the agenda of the Southeastern European Policy Dialogue on Internet Governance by organising two panels at SEEDIG 2024 in Belgrade on 25 - 26 of November 2024.

On 25 November (10:30 – 11:30) the panel discussion Council of Europe Digital Agenda in action features action on cybercrime, AI and anti-discrimination, data protection, the latest online safety policies and the Metaverse. The Council of Europe provides universal legal standards for internet and digital governance for the global and European scenes, including tailored solutions for the Southeast Europe. The follow-up 26 November (12:30 – 13:30) panel discussion on Public-private policy dialogue and the Council of Europe Digital Partnership features contributions by leading technology companies and associations for the protection of human rights and democracy online. Octavian Șofransky, digital governance advisor at the Council of Europe, moderating the two panels, will equally address the SEEDIG Youth school on the eve of the event on Council of Europe Digital Agenda and opportunities for youth.
