Montenegro: Official Launching of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme

On 13 March, the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme was officially launched at the occasion of a meeting at the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro. In his opening speech, Aleksandar Bogdanović, Minister of Culture of Montenegro, provided an overview of cultural policies in Montenegro and Cultural Routes latest development.  Aleksandar Dajković, Director General of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage of Montenegro, presented the activities implemented by the Ministry and future plans, including the extension of new cultural routes in Montenegro. The event included the presentation by two Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing Montenegro: Iter Vitis represented by Mrs Emanuela Panke and the Olive Tree Routes represented by Mrs Olga Mezeridou.  Mr Veselin Vukotic, Rector of the University of Donja Gorica, and Mr Danilo Nikolic, Rector of the University of Montenegro also took part in the meeting in view of their future collaboration in the Network of Universities Studies on Cultural Routes.
