Mr Matthias KLOTH, Head of Digital Governance and Sport Department, represented the Council of Europe at the AI for Good 2026 High-Level Roundtable — AI Foundation: Digital Trust and AI Infrastructure for All.  

The roundtable brought together an exceptionally senior and diverse group of leaders, ranging from government representatives, industry, international organisations, as well as academia and civil society.

Mr KLOTH in his intervention highlighted the role of the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention on AI and the ongoing work of the CDNET, and underlined the importance of building trust in the digital age to ensure that new and emerging digital technologies remain a force for good.
