Mr Matthias KLOTH, Head of Digital Governance and Sport Department, represented the Council of Europe at a Global Dialogue on AI Governance Side Event organised jointly by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Peru, African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, LJMU, Oxford Institute for Ethics in AI and the Global Centre for AI Governance.

In his intervention, Mr KLOTH provided input on what are the most important human rights and governance priorities that the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance should take into account under Theme 4: Human Rights, Transparency and Accountability, and in particular, what lessons from the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention on AI could inform the development of coherent and effective global AI governance.
