Advisory Group for the Intercultural Cities Programme
The Advisory Group for the ICC Programme was established following the recommendation of an external evaluation that was commissioned by the Intercultural Inclusion Unit in 2022. The objective of the evaluation was to identify areas for enhancement and fine-tuning of the programme.
According to its mandate, the Advisory Group proposes actions that are in line with the ICC Programme’s principles and ICC members’ needs as well as contributing to the ultimate goal of progressing intercultural inclusion within ICC member cities worldwide.

The group is composed of up to 7 members, appointed by the ICC Secretariat following an open call for applications.

Specific objectives
The specific objectives of the Advisory Group for its second mandate (2025-2027) are the following:
- Providing advice on prioritisation of services and tools to be offered to ICC members;
- Providing feedback on the use and developments of ICC tools;
- Identifying areas for additional capacity building, peer exchanges, policy and other support for ICC members;
- Exploring ways to secure additional funding for the programme;
- Making proposals on the continuous development and improvement of the ICC Programme;
- Contributing to analysis and reflections on developments and trends in the policy, social, technical, and academic domains of relevance to the mission of the ICC Programme.
