- The “Alvar Aalto in France” Association (est. 2006) was founded with the mission of purchasing and administrating the Maison Louis Carré at Bazoches-sur-Guyonne, in view of promoting public interest and culture as well as the history and work of its architect Alvar Aalto.
The Maison Louis Carré is a private residence built from 1957 to 1960 by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto on behalf of Louis Carré, French collector and art gallery owner.
