The Ministry of Health of North Macedonia highlighted the importance of the promotion of health literacy, particularly in relation to access to healthcare, prevention, public trust and informed participation in health-related decision-making.
By joining the Coalition, North Macedonia contributes to a growing pan-European effort to promote accessible, inclusive and people-centred health systems.
The High-Level Conference on Health Literacy and Human Rights in Rome in December 2026 will bring together ministers from the Council of Europe’s 46 member States to drive further progress on health literacy and human rights
