Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland made the following statement today following the attack in London last night that left several people dead and dozens wounded:
"This was another cruel attack on our common values and freedoms. We stand united with our member state UK in the fight against extremism and terrorism. I am writing to Prime Minister Theresa May to convey my deepest condolences to the British people. My thoughts are with the families and the loved ones of the victims."
