Even where civil and political rights remain in place, objectively there are obstacles to exercising some of them fully. Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić calls for everything possible to be done to ensure that the epidemic does not lead to a weakening of the democratic foundations on which our civil and political rights and our freedom rely.
