TJENI Project holds its annual conference in Oslo to discuss open data in justice

19-20 October 2023 Oslo, Norway. The TJENI project held its annual conference, bringing together more than 60 representatives of the project partners (from judiciaries and Ministries of Justice), observers and donors from Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Slovenia.

Besides the opportunity to exchange on the TJENI project’s results achieved in the past year, the annual conference served as a forum for discussions on different topics linked to the open data and transparency in justice, including existing standards and recommendations on dissemination of judicial decisions, regulatory frameworks and respective remedies aimed at protecting human rights, and personal data in publication of judicial decisions.

The annual event also provided an opportunity to discuss open questions, future development directions and expected outcomes to be reached by the end of the implementation of the TJENI project.

The project “Foster Transparency of Judicial Decisions and Enhancing the National Implementation of the ECHR” (TJENI) is implemented by the Council of Europe and funded by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation.
