On October 25, 2019, the Council of Europe Project “Support to the Implementation of Judicial Reform in Ukraine” and the Aspen Institute Kyiv co-hosted a roundtable “Trust in the Judiciary and Judicial Reform: Dialogue among key stakeholders”.
The roundtable was attended by the representatives of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy, the Supreme Court, the High Council of Justice, the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, public and international organizations, media and law schools.
Olena Lytvynenko, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, welcomed the participants and stressed the need to adhere to Council of Europe standards in the process of implementing judicial reform while Yuliya Tychkivska, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute of Kyiv, emphasised the importance of dialogue as an effective tool for effective interaction between the main actors.

The roundtable was conducted off the record and moderated by Taras Shevchenko, director of the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law.
